4^th graders in Mrs. Lanzas/Miss Doshier’s class built roller coasters or designed an amusement park in “Jamestown”. This project incorporated STEAM, authentic research, Portrait of a Graduate skills, like Collaboration, and electricity/magnetism, the students’ current science unit.  Over two months, they worked extremely hard to bring materials from home, use recycled items, and construct a model of their design, along with a Google slides presentation to explain their process and reasoning to their peers.
