London Towne Elementary School hosted the Ambassador of Costa Rica to the Organization of American States (OAS), Montserrat Solano, kicking off our Global Classroom Project, connecting with our partner school in Costa Rica.  Ambassador Solano visited Spanish Immersion classrooms and met with our 3rd and 6th graders, participants in the Global Classroom Project this year and last year.  She was greeted with both the United States and Costa Rican national anthems, before enjoying a recap of last year's project and presenting an overview of Costa Rica, resulting in us all hoping to plan a visit!  Our 3rd grade Spanish Immersion students will be working on a collaborative project with our partner school in San Jose this spring, working to propose solutions to environmental problems in the each other’s countries.
