Dear Families,

Welcome to second grade!  This school year your child will gain more independence and will begin to take on more responsibilities.  Your child will actively pursue a variety of learning experiences that will require your support and encouragement at home.  Please go to https://www.fcps.edu/year-at-a-glance/second-grade to view our "At-a-Glance" learning objectives and learn more about our curriculum.  

We are planning two field trips to support our learning during the year. Please do not send any money now, but budget about $25.00 for potential field trips that will enhance our learning objectives.

Second Grade Supply List

(Please label all of your child’s supplies with their name.)

All 2nd Grade Students

• 24 sharpened yellow Ticonderoga #2 Pencils
• 2 4-packs of thin black Expo dry erase markers
• 3 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
• 2 12-packs of Crayola colored pencils
• 1 pair of Fiskars round tip scissors
• 6 glue sticks
• 2 marble composition books (WIDE-ruled)
• 3 boxes of Kleenex tissues
• 1 pair of headphones (no earbuds, no Bluetooth)
• 1 hard plastic pencil case (no zipper pouches)
• 1 container of disinfectant wipes (e.g. - Clorox)

Girls

• 1 large box quart or sandwich size Ziploc bags

Boys

• 1 large box gallon size Ziploc bags
